All Weather Contractors is a licensed team of multi-family experts specializing in renovations, natural disasters, floods, fires, interior and exterior painting, property maintenance of all types, HVAC, mechanical services, roofing, plumbing, welding, and specialty projects. The Challenge
All Weather Contractors began as a residential and multi-family painting, cleaning, and property maintenance company and expanded into HVAC, plumbing, roofing, projects, and General Contracting.
The company faced several significant operational and technical challenges that hindered its ability to scale efficiently and make data-driven decisions.
One of the primary issues was the siloed nature of the company’s data. With multiple lines of business, ranging from HVAC and property maintenance to general contracting and design-build services, it was difficult to maintain a unified view of operations. Financial and project data were stored in different systems, making it challenging to get an accurate, holistic picture of the company’s performance.
The company adopted several software solutions to manage projects and streamline workflows. However, these systems only offered project level information as it applies to project management — while nearly two thirds of All Weather’s operating groups generally work on small projects, contract work, and/or demand services.
With disparate services and software, it was nearly impossible to get a holistic view of relevant information and analytics across the company.
The Anterra Solution
All Weather Contractors decided to revisit Anterra, a platform they had used previously to build a dashboard, which had not been fully adopted. After reviewing their needs and frustrations with other systems, the company opted to use Anterra as a core tool to streamline operations and provide better integration with their financial systems.
Anterra helped bridge the gaps between the company’s ERP (Sage 300 CRE), its plugins, and project management tools. The platform enabled All Weather Contractors to integrate all financial and project data into a unified system. With (near) real-time data flows from Sage 300 CRE to SQL and Power BI, they were able to create dynamic dashboards that provided visibility into project costs, labor, materials, and other key financial metrics. This provided the company with better insights into profitability and performance, which had previously been difficult to track.
In addition to data integration, Anterra’s platform helped to automate and streamline several financial processes, reducing the time spent on manual data entry and improving the accuracy of financial reporting. Anterra also provided a full view of all of their operating groups, not just ones requiring project management — All Weather now uses the platform for marketing, sales, and the rest of the MS Power Platform as well. They are even actively leveraging the data to build out Robotic Process Automation and Intelligent Automation (RPA/IA) processes too!
With Anterra’s solutions in place, All Weather Contractors is now able to achieve better financial visibility, streamline operations, and move forward with confidence as they transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
